Where else in 25 square miles could you find the entertainment that's available here? To say nothing of a short drive to the Fisher Theater in Detroit or the events hosted by Eastern Michigan University next door to A2. Nowhere that I know of!
Did you miss the 2004 Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, the original? This fair spawned all of the "wannabees" in town. Carefully juried it offers quality art in many venues. Some of our great restaurants are within a couple blocks of the Art Fair. See you there!
When you're in A2 don't miss a tour of North Campus. The new carillon is stunningly beautiful. Wander into the Art and Architecture Building - there's almost always a jewel of an exhibit in the Slusser Gallery. Walk back behind the North Campus Commons Building and you'll find an enormous courtyard surrounded by the truly magnificent engineering buildings that have appeared over the last decade. The Media Building is worth a stop.

Jazz fans head directly to:
The Firefly Club This great jazz club has moved to a new, expanded space at 637 South Main Stree. Good parking, and you can walk to downtown restaurants. Call 665-9090 for more information of visit them on the web at
The Ark is another A2 institution. Tucked into South Main Street with about a dozen great restaurants within a half a block!
Kerrytown Concert House is celebrating it's 20th birthday this fall. We have Deanna Relyea and dedicated supporters to thank for this very special venue. Near the Ann Arbor Farmers Market and the Kerrytown building, the location is excellent with nearby evening parking. The menu is diverse and always spectacular. See link below to check upcoming events.
Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger. What can I say about this? The owner is a stalwart of the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair and without his help it would not happen. He's everywhere - delivering lathes to woodworkers, putting up booths, checking electrical outlets. As far as I can tell he devotes a solid week to the success of the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair. Now we shold talk about the food! Forget every fast food burger you've ever had - this is the ultimate hamburger. The deep-fried vegetables (in canola oil) are awesome. Now you know why your kids want to go to the U. of M. - so that they can enjoy Blimpy Burgers. Wait until winter when they builds "Snow Bears" - that's a real treat.
